Climbing apple trees

It's easy to see evidence of bears, porcupines, and raccoons climbing the apple trees -- especially the bears. Their claw marks are all over the trunks. I've never seen so much bear sign in the orchard.

A few years ago, Miss Hopkins and I found a dead raccoon floating in a beaver pond. There were porcupine quills buried in his snout, mouth, and forehead. So I never expected to catch a porcupine and raccoon together on camera. They seem to be sharing apples. Shouldn't the raccoon keep his distance?
