Morels


Morel mushrooms are the prize of the woods. Difficult to find, delicious to eat, they appear in Taylor Valley from mid-May through early June. We find pounds every year by learning their ways and combing their habitats. These images show Taylor Valley morels in some of their favorite haunts; they also show a couple of the ways that Missy and I like to eat them.
