The Mountain School is a semester program for 45 11th graders who spend four months living, working, and studying on our farm. Students produce most of the food and much of the firewood that heats the campus. From my home at the Mountain School, I can reach the bear orchard in one hour by foot, in 45 minutes by ski, or in half hour by car and foot.
